These pieces are made to add life to your wall, accent a picture , or perch beside a wall miror. Each one is as close to life as the best glass enamel artists can create. Glass enamels result from the hand application of multiple layers of powdered glass onto a pure copper base. Each bird, blossom and leaf is then fired individually in a kiln to 1600 degrees F. This fuses the glass colors forever onto the copper . This process results in an incredible vibrancy and depth of color that will not fade. Each leaf, blossom, and bird are then brazed together to form the finished piece. Bovano is the largest producer of glass enamels in the USA. Their unique pieces have been made in Cheshire Connecticut, and only Cheshire Connecticut, since 1954
